Unlike some SCUBA clubs, we are active divers throughout the year.

In January and February, it is common to find us diving under the ice. Each spring we participate in Our World Underwater (OWU), a dive convention held locally in Rosemont, Illinois.

During the summer months, our calendar is full of dive trips and outings, ranging from a quick morning dive to a long weekend away. In October, we have traveled north to Door County, Wisconsin for a weekend of diving and nature hiking.  During the Christm as season, we hold our “Annual Underwater Tree Trimming” celebration at the Elmhurst YMCA. SCUBA Diving Santa helps children decorate the underwater Christmas tree.

Since cold-water diving is not for everyone, club members plan trips to warmer climates such as the Florida Keys, the Bahamas, Central America, South America or the South Pacific.
